Glossies Made Me Do It: Gratitude Meter

Hey there Sunshine! It’s been awhile since I’ve participated with Lauren of Shooting Stars Mag and Ashley of Happy.Pretty.Sweet with their monthly linkup called Glossies Made Me Do It.  Glossies, aka magazines, have so many interesting articles and features that persuade us to try various things from makeup to hair products, attending certain events, and even ways of living a more wholesome life.

This month, I was inspired by an article, The Gratitude Meter, to list the top five things that I’m grateful for this past month.  It can be found in the March 2018 volume of O magazine.

February was a busy month and I had a lot to be grateful for.  For starters, as a school counselor, we celebrated National School Counseling Week.  It was a time to celebrate and share with others all that we do as school counselors to aid our biggest clients…our students.

I also got to spend time with friends and celebrate Singles Awareness Day.  You may know it as Valentine’s Day, but for us singles…well…you get the picture! 🙂

Okay, I don’t want you to think I’m a lush, but we all need to time to unwind.  National Margarita Day was last week and my friends and I felt the need to celebrate!

Our school held it’s annual Winter Wonderland dance which is such a great way to connect with our students outside of the classroom.  These students were chosen by their peers as our 6th and 7th grade representatives for prince and princess and our 8th grade representatives for king and queen.

And the best thing I did all month was spend time with family! I visited with my grandmother who is 90 years young.  These visits tend to get me very emotional because I know how blessed I am to still have her around.

MygrannyNot only did I spend time with my “Granny”, but I got to meet the newest member of our family, Connor Grayson! Isn’t he adorable?

So what are you grateful for?  Share with me below.

  2. I love that you had so many fun celebrations! Instead of Singles Awareness Day, you could start celebrating Galentine’s Day with your friends. Middle school students are in great need of guidance I’m glad you are there to help them 🙂
