Accomplishing:  Being more crafty!  I created these bags, with the help of Pinterest, for a surprise Easter egg hunt/party for some students at my school.  We had a blast!

After snapping the photo, I realized my bunny bags look more like mice.  Mice with feelings…lol!  Oh, well.  The kids loved them!  That’s all that matters.

Feeling:  Like I’ve gotten this big burst of energy and I just want to get up and go.  That’s what Spring does to me.  As I mentioned in my last Currently post, spring came very early to the Carolinas along with the pollen and allergy flair up.  However, I love spring and I love being able to be out with nature.  It is a compromise I have to make.  There is too much to do in my neck of the woods this time of year.

Needing:  A new mattress.  I won’t tell you how old mine is.  Let’s just say every time I see the commercials that state if you’re over 8 years, you should be replacing yours.  Well, that is just what I’m doing.  Whyyyy do I have a king size bed???  $$$$

Practicing:  These new dance moves my student is teaching me.  Our school’s dance team is hosting a Dancing With The Stars: Teacher Edition and I was asked to participate.  At first, I wasn’t going to do it, but this sweet little girl wouldn’t take no for an answer.  I gave it some thought and decided to give it a try.  It’s getting me up and moving, burning some calories, and having fun while bonding with my students.  Pray for me you guys because I’m not as quick on my feet as I used to be.  We’ll see how many bumps, bruises and sore muscles I have at the end of this.  I’ve been coming home drenched!  The soreness starts to kick in a few hours after each practice, but it gets better each time.  I’m also getting better with my dance skills.  (Patting myself on the back).  🙂

Pinning:  I’m a school counselor, so many of my most recent pins relate to my job.  Foods to try are always being pinned when I come across a new recipe.  This past week, I wanted some new ideas for cooking chicken, so pin, pin, pin I did!  I pinned a few party ideas as well!  If you’d like to check out my page, follow me here:  https://www.pinterest.com/sunphant/

  1. The bags are so cute! But the “mice with feelings” comment cracked me up. And how fun to be learning some new dance moves to participate in a fun event like that!

    1. Thanks Lauren! I burnt the heck out of my finger when I got to the 6th bag. The kids loved them and they loved the hunt. It was for our special needs class and they had a ball! I am really working out with this dance routine. Working up a sweat and having fun which is always good!

  2. Those mattress commercials gross me out because I don’t want to think about things like that lol. My parents bought a king-sized mattress from Walmart’s website, and it was rolled up when it was delivered to them. It was crazy to watch it plump up after they unrolled it! It’s super comfortable though; my daughter and I have taken a few really good naps on it when we’ve been visiting them!

    1. I lucked up and found them on sale at SAMs club. Everything, plus delivery and removal of old ones for under $600…and it’s a Serta. It goes with the adjustable bottom, but I passed on that. I may buy that piece later. Looking forward to more comfort…it’s over due.

  3. I think those bags are so cute! You’re right about mattresses being $$$!! We bought a Sleep Number a few months ago and while we LOVE it so much, holy cow at the price tag!

    1. Thanks! I had fun making the bags and the kids loved them. I can’t wait for my mattress to be delivered this week! I guess I shouldn’t complain since they do last at least 8 years. 🙂

  4. Best of luck with the Dancing With The Stars teachers’ event. I’m sure you are going to do well. And I love that one of your students believed in your abilities so much that she didn’t take no for answer. It nice to get out of comfort zones every so often.
