Making Changes

Hey everyone!  Well I did it! I am finally jumping on the WordPress bandwagon.  I originally wanted to begin my blog here, but there was someone else with the same name and I was truly disappointed.  Someone else had actually claimed Sunshine and Elephants one month before I decided to post.  Two years ago, I was like…”What? How can there possibly be someone out there with the same blog name as mine?  This just can’t be true!”  I was so taken aback by this that I chose not to create my blog here.  It had taken me forever to decide on a name and this other person had it.  So off to Blogger I went.

 

Fast forward one year, I contacted the person claiming Sunshine and Elephants as her own because she never started blogging!  All she had created was a short About Me bio…one paragraph in length.  How could she possible not create something to represent Sunshine and Elephants?  I just found this appalling.  I messaged her and asked if she would be so kind to close her account and explained how I actually wanted to use the name and blah blah blah…all the things I mentioned above.  I checked back periodically, but no changes were made.  Sunshine and Elephants on WordPress was still up and running without any blog post.  I was insulted to say the least.

Now, I know many of you are probably thinking I’m being childish about this and maybe I was.  But guess what?  It  worked!  I checked last week and saw that Sunshine and Elephants was officially available!  Only thing since the name was once used, I had to have a slightly different title.  I had to add blog as a subtitle to my name. No problem.  I am now the proud owner of SunshineandElephantsBlog.wordpress.com!  *Happy Me!*

So now, I have to figure out do I just abandon Blogger all together because that’s where I birthed my baby and I can’t see myself just leaving it out there.  I have to figure out how to get my content from there to here and I know some people I may ask, but it will definitely take some time.  I am back at work full-time and my job takes up much of my time.  So expect to see some changes over this year.  Changes in format.  Changes in style.  Changes until I can figure out exactly how I need to have my baby displayed.  You guys have been there with me through my first two years so I know you will continue to stand by me as I make new changes and adjustments to get Sunshine and Elephants just where I need her to be.
